Rachel Napier

Rachel works in the RSM Law litigation team specialising in all aspects of family law with a particular focus on relationship property and care of children.

She has represented clients and appeared in court on complex relationship property disputes, parenting disputes and domestic violence matters. Rachel can assist with negotiating separation and relationship property agreements, as well as agreements relating to the care of children.

Rachel also has wide ranging practice in a number of areas of law, including trusts, civil litigation, property law, criminal and immigration law. She has extensive experience in resolving disputes via negotiation, mediation and litigation. She often appears in both the Family and District Courts.

Rachel studied at the University of Otago, where she completed a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Consumer and Applied Science. She was admitted to the bar in 2007. After graduating, Rachel practised as a solicitor at RSM Law before travelling overseas and settling in London. She returned to New Zealand in 2011, where she practised law in Queenstown before re-joining RSM Law in 2017.
